Dr. Amy Johnson
Dr. Johnson graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary
Medicine. She has practiced at Hillside Animal Clinic since 1988 and is one of
the practice owners. Dr. Johnson's areas of interest include canine reproduction,
behavior, and cancer treatments. She and her husband Charles share their
Washington County farm with their Gordon Setters and German Shorthaired
Pointers. When not in the clinic, she can often be found at a dog show or field
trial.

Dr. Dwayne Allen
Dr.
Allen graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary medicine after
completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky. He has practiced at Hillside Animal Clinic since 1996 and
is one of the practice owners. Dr. Allen usually spends his days on the road visiting
the many farms in our area. Dr Allen's areas of interest include equine medicine
and reproduction, orthopedic procedures, alpacas, and just about any other furry friend that needs a
farm call. Dr. Allen is married to Dr. Garvey and spends his free time with his
family on their small farm. He is always up for a round of golf or a game of
basketball. |
Dr. Tara Garvey Allen
Dr.
Garvey graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary medicine after
completing her undergraduate degree from the University of Kentucky. She is our
only exclusively small animal veterinarian. She has been practicing at Hillside
Animal Clinic since 1997 and is now one of the practice owners. Dr. Garvey spends her
free time with her husband, Dr. Allen, their three children, and their many
pets (she is pictured here with Peanut). You may recognize Dr. Garvey from her regular appearances on
WAVE 3 TV "Listens Live - Ask the Vet".

Dr. Michelle Underwood
Originally
from Fairmount, IN, Dr. Underwood graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary
Medicine in May 1993. She enjoys horse back riding with her husband and friends.
Special interests include internal medicine and Star Wars, all of her pets are
named after characters from the movies.

Dr. Paul Evans

From Richmond, Kentucky, Dr. Evans graduated from Auburn
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. He lives in New Albany with
his wife, three children, and dogs, Macy and Callie. While his favorite
place to be is the surgery room, he divides his day between both large and small
animal medicine and enjoys the variety of a mixed animal practice. When he's not
working he enjoys Kentucky basketball, bird hunting, camping, and
other outdoor activities. |
Dr. Lora Tucker

Dr. Tucker
completed her undergraduate studies at Murray State University and then completed her Doctorate
of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2008. She has a
special interest in equine medicine and surgery, but spends her time in
both
the small and large animal clinics. Dr. Tucker spends her free time trail
riding and traveling with her horses to Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and
Tennessee to ride with family and friends.

Dr. Carrie Eichenberger-Spencer

Dr. Spencer attended Purdue University where she completed her undergraduate
degree in Animal Science and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Her
special interests are in small animal medicine and surgery, oncology, alpacas
and small ruminants. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy taking their
black lab Duke fishing, hiking, backpacking and camping.
