Services

Large Animal Services

Our facility is equipped with stocks and stalls for our larger patients, including a padded stall for recovery from anesthetic procedures. We offer a wide array of services for cattle, horses, alpacas, llamas, pigs, sheep, and goats. Some of our more common services include teeth floats, vaccinations, pregnancy checks, minor surgery, and lameness exams. Or, a visit to your home or farm with one of our mobile units can be arranged.

Surgery

Hillside has a surgical suite available for small animal surgeries and procedures. A gas anesthesia machine is also available for our patients and is the anesthesia of choice for our exotic friends like ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, and hamsters. We also have a surgical laser that vaporizes as it cuts replacing the need for surgical blades. The laser reduces swelling, bleeding, and itching at the surgical site. We perform many types of surgeries including spays, neuters, mass removals, de-claws, cesarean sections, bladder stone removals, and various orthopedic procedures.

Dentistry

Before

After

Our dental unit provides an ultrasonic scaler and polisher that cleans your pet's teeth while under sedation. We examine each patient's mouth, scale tartar off the teeth, polish the teeth to a healthy shine, followed by a fluoride treatment. It is recommended to then continue dental care at home with many options depending on what is best for each individual pet.

Imaging

Hillside Animal Clinic uses digital radiography and ultrasound as important diagnostic tools. Imaging can aid in diagnosing pregnancy, bladder stones, ingested foreign objects, fractures, tumors, and much more.

Emergency Services

We do provide emergency care to both our small and large animal patients. If an emergency should arise after hours, a doctor will be paged and can then meet you at the clinic when available. A veterinarian is not at the hospital at all hours but one will be contacted and then will shortly return your call within 15-20 minutes. A farm call can also be arranged for large animal emergencies.
